GOD IS NOT MIGHTY ENOUGH

By Quentin Smith

God is much too small, too weak

To encompass or even live in this universe.

The great weight of space

Would crush him from all sides,

And the wild flaming stars

Would blow him out of the sky

And back into the heads

Of a few feeble priests

 Written   1973
